The Discovery of Alan Hindley director: Andy Fortenbacher
Director Andy Fortenbacher remembered me from a previous audition and reached out to me when he was casting this jewel of a short, The Discovery of Alan Hindley. I play the mother to a weirdo played incredibly by English actor, Ralph Lister. And as you can tell by the photos...he strangles me. Hey, want to see the trailer? click here
Sweet director: Cameron Dowling
Nothing Without a Company invited me to be a part of the The 48 Hour Film Project which is a wild festival that includes a sleepless weekend (for many) in which a team makes a movie - writes, shoots, edits and scores it - in just 48 hours!! The brilliant playwright, Hannah Ii-Epstein penned an incredible mockumentary (the category that was given) called Sweet. Cameron Dillon directed and edited it and the festival LOVED it! We have made it to the final 12- Best of and will hear if we won Best of the City on August 26th. Here are some photos from our wild and sleepless shoot. What a great group of people to work with…it was a blast!
Contagion director: Steven Soderbergh
It was freezing the day we shot the scene I was in. I had a trailer but I was in it for about 3 minutes the entire day. My scene was outdoors, of course. I liked that they wrapped me in a warming blanket in between takes as we were below zero temperatures that day. After Mr. Soderbergh gave me my direction, "You are siphoning gas from Matt's car and he catches you." I ask, "Do I resist and confront him? What is my response?" He says, "Run away." Got it. Easy enough. (apparently my idea of having a hand to hand combat with Mr. Damon was only in my mental script).
So, I am in place. They did not use the bullhorn when they yelled action but I saw that people were doing their thing so I started doing mine. I was siphoning and staring at this bread truck that had all this great choreographed stunt work going on when all of a sudden some guy starts yelling at me at the top of his lungs from out of no where. Scared the crap out of me! I ran away. It was Matt. When I heard cut, I yelled at him, "You scared me!" Matt turned around and started laughing. I followed with, "Woops. I guess you were supposed to." Which made him laugh harder. (Must have been my delivery.) Then he said he wanted to marry me but he was faithful to his loving wife. OK. That last part is a little wrong. Anyway, with every take following, he would play with his scare tactics. It was fun. I would have picked him to be on my team playing hide and go seek when we were kids in my neighborhood. I wish I hadn't left my cell phone in my trailer.

Turns out they used my scene in all the promo trailers. Sad news was they used the long shot mwamp mwamp mmmwah
The Nest director: Tim Zwica
It was raining the night of the audition. It was in the city... a two hour commute with bad traffic and lots of window glare. Not sure what made me go since auditions like this, with no information, often seemed like a waste of time but for whatever reason, I went. The audition space at the theater was dark. No one had the keys to turn on the lights. I stood in this small pool of light and just did my thing. Tim gave me some direction. I am sooo glad I went...it was the best rainy night audition I ever attended. This film was such a fabulous experience.
The diner where my scenes were shot was a crusty old watering hole on the old Route 66 Highway. It was the last standing joint on that legendary highway. The place had history with Capone, too. It smelled horrible and was filthy but we made it home for weeks. It wasn't far from where I lived...the city folks had an early morning haul.
The old timers who ran the place were so welcoming. They catered our meals (it was part of the location agreement.) Grits and gravy and fried steaks. Good old truck driving food. Tim brought me salads.
Check out the young goth girl actress in the video clips who looks like my daughter. Her name is Molly Bina. Yes, she is mine. A lifetime memory in more ways than one.

Teller of Tales: A Fib Fit for a King director: Woody Lindsey
A wonderful project that is in the works. The second episode is all about my character which we have not started shooting yet. These shots were from the trailer shoot. That's all I can share now since it is still in production.
Satanic Panic director: Marc Selz_
Other People's Heads director: Stephen Winterhalter
Currently in production. I played a severed head. Green screen stuff. The rest I must keep a secret or they may really lob off my head! I worked with one of my favorite Chicago actors, Tom McElroy.
Treadmill director: Cory Hooper
I had the great honor of meeting and working with award winning, Adrian DiGiovanni. He made every day a joy to be on set.
Maive director: David Tarleton
On set with director David Tarleton, Mike Green, who played my husband, Anna Rose Ii-Epstein as my daughter and her boyfriend in the film, Mike Schmitke. All these actors are really good and I hope I get a chance to work with them again..
